Windy Brushes
History & Goals
Windy Brushes of Northern Illinois was formed in October 1982 and
received its Charter in May 1984. The Chapter is designed to promote the art of decorative
painting though education and social growth.
Decorative painting is defined as the method of painting
designs on any object to decorate or create a picture. With guidance, any individual may
learn the techniques of decorative painting and enjoy many hours of creativity and
self-expression.
The goals of Windy Brushes are to encourage its members to share in the
benefits of belonging to a chapter of SDP; to provide the means to strengthen friendships
and make new friends with a common interest in the art of decorative painting; to continue
to support and offer quality educational programs for its members individual
enjoyment and artistic growth; to contribute Chapter time, talent and donated items to
help others in need through the Sharing and Caring program.
